My Story
Root and Branch was created out of a moment of anxiety and desperation. In an effort to act on the conviction to talk more about Jesus with my children, I ordered a 52-week children's bible study. Immediately after purchasing I panicked - when was I going to fit that in?! I am a homeschool mom of four. I barely have time to read my own Bible, let alone minister to the kids in between cooking, cleaning, laundry, chores, etc.
I thought to myself - there has to be a way for moms to talk to their children about Jesus without it feeling like another thing on the to-do list, or another piece of homework for our children. That's when I thought, well why dont I make a way!
"I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit." — John 15:5
Plant. Nurture. Trust.
As mothers, our most important job in this life is to point our children to Jesus. We need to remember to slow down, enjoy the small moments, and create those conversations that will build the foundation of our children's faith in Christ. But this will not happen spontaneously; we need to raise our children with intention and in accordance to God's instruction in scripture.
Our job is simple: Plant faithfully, water diligently, and trust God for the growth
